This Edwardian diamond and sapphire ring from circa the 1900s makes for an instant heirloom.Expertly designed and crafted, this ring features two Old European Cut diamonds, each about 0.10 carats, surrounded by twelve calibre cut dark blue sapphires. Additionally, 23 rose cut diamonds set throughout the geometric design add subtle sparkle to the overall ring.Made in 18K yellow gold and platinum topped; a common practice of the early Edwardian period before they had the tools and knowledge to create jewelry solely using platinum. This short-lived technique was in vogue during this period and believed to cause the diamonds to appear whiter in their setting. With its low profile, this ring is super comfortable and easy to wear.
